I was raised in California by lifelong educators who taught me two things that have guided every step of my life: the transformative power of a quality education and the simple dignity of hard work. My parents lived by the adage, “Be the labor great or small, do it well or not at all. Once the labor has begun, do not stop until it is done.” That work ethic instilled in me a deep respect for all kinds of work and a belief that every family deserves real opportunities to build a stable, successful life.
After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Riverside, and my MBA from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, I built a career in finance and technology at companies in California and Utah. Seeing what has worked — and what hasn’t — in different states has given me a clear perspective on the importance of responsible budgeting, supporting job creators and workers, and focusing on practical solutions that deliver results for working families.
My wife Ann and I met while she was attending Saint Louis University. After our careers on the coast, we chose to move to the St. Louis area and raise our family in University City because of the strong community values, vibrant neighborhoods, and the potential we saw right here in North County. We now live in University City with our three sons — Jack, Will, and Hastings — and our two dogs, Luca & Bella. Walking around our neighborhood and supporting our kids’ activities reminds me daily why we’re committed to making this area even better: safer streets, stronger schools, stable housing, and real pathways for young people to thrive locally.
My Christian faith is an important part of who I am. It motivates me to serve others with integrity, compassion, and a focus on the dignity of every person and every kind of honest work. I’ve always believed in paying it forward in concrete ways. That’s why I’ve volunteered to teach financial literacy to underserved youth through Junior Achievement of Utah, mentored young people as a Mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah, and served as an interview coach with the LA Conservation Corps so disadvantaged youth could land their first jobs. These experiences have shown me the real barriers many families face — and the difference that practical support and opportunity can make.
In St. Louis, I’ve put my own resources and effort on the line. After relocating here, I began investing in real estate and completed multiple projects throughout the region, including several right here in the 14th Senate District. These efforts have helped revitalize neighborhoods, create new homeownership opportunities for working families, and bring more stability to areas that deserve investment and care.
North Saint Louis County has resilient families and tremendous potential, but we also face real, everyday challenges: slower police and fire response times that affect neighborhood safety, school leaders working hard to deliver better outcomes for all students, housing that needs to remain attainable without driving up costs for current residents, and economic barriers that make it harder for young people and families to build futures close to home. My background in finance, real estate development, and operations has taught me how to listen carefully to different perspectives, manage resources responsibly, control costs, and deliver measurable improvements.
The 14th Senate District deserves representation that focuses on practical results for the people who live here — not on partisan political agendas that don’t serve our communities. I’m running to bring fresh perspective, accountability, and a commitment to solutions that strengthen our communities from the ground up.
I’m asking for your support to bring common-sense, results-oriented leadership to Jefferson City. Whether you’re a longtime resident or a young family just getting started, together we can make North Saint Louis County a place where families feel safe, schools prepare our children for the future, and opportunity is real for everyone who calls this district home.
